1. What is Self Storage?
Self Storage is a facility that offers safe and secure storage for almost any kind of items away from your home or business. It provides users with extra space to store less frequent items in order to keep your home or business tidy and clutter free. You choose the size of space required, and then you put your goods away into secure storage

2. How much storage space will I need?
Tokoroa Self Storage offers the largest range of storage unit sizes in the South Waikato to meet your needs. Check out our space estimator on the Units/Sizes page to see what size unit may suit your needs.

3. What size spaces are available?
We have a huge variety of storage unit sizes to meet your storage needs, from document storage to enough space for a five + bedroom house. We also have a limited number of secure outside storage parks for cars, boats, caravans and trailers.

4. How secure are my items?
Security is the number one priority at Tokoroa Self Storage. We are proud to have the most advanced facility in the South Waikato. We have individually locked units, where you and you alone hold the key, the entire site has an 18 wire full height electrified and alarmed and monitored perimeter fence, together with day/night CCTV security cameras throughout the facility. Access to the facility is only gained through the automated front gate via your unique and individual PIN access code.

5. Do I need insurance?
Our facility is insurance approved, meaning that your home and contents insurance will probably cover your items while they are in storage. Simply check with your insurance company. We highly recommend that your items be insured whilst in storage.

6. How much does it cost?
Tokoroa Self Storage offers a cost effective solution for all your storage needs. Our prices vary depending on your storage requirements. Please feel free to phone, email or fill out the online enquiry form and we will be more than happy to provide an obligation free quote together with the availability of a unit to suit your needs in our secure facility.

7. Are there long term rates?
Yes, we offer a discount for a minimum 12 month agreement. Please contact us for further information.

8. What is the minimum hire period?
The minimum unit rental period is one month with payment made one month in advance.

9.  Are there any additional charges?
The following additional charges apply:
We require a security deposit which  is half of the storage units monthly fee. Provided that your unit is fully vacated and left in good order at the end of the storage period, we will refund your deposit in full. There is also be a $10 booking fee charged at the time of sign up. We insist that you use a padlock to secure your unit, and you are welcome to use your own padlock, or a quality padlock can be purchased from us at Tokoroa Self Storage.

10.  When can I access my space?
Your space is available immediately following payment of the security deposit and one month’s rental in advance. Our facility is accessible between 7am and 7pm , 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for commercial customers.
